Rising P-Pop groups YGIG and PLUUS just dropped their first ever collaboration and the new song comes right in time for Christmas. Maligaya ang Pasko literally means “The Christmas is happy/merry,” and it’s also a play on the translation for Maligayang Pasko — which means “Merry Christmas!” This track focuses on an all too familiar love story about someone wanting to do whatever it takes to win their love interest over so that they can spend the holidays together.
YGIG (stands for “You Go I Go”), is a six-member girl group composed of Alexei, Hazelyn, Jewel, JM, Maeg, and Vien. PLUUS (from “Plus, Us”) is also a six-member boy group composed of JL, Justin, Haro, Gab, Theo, and Yen. This collaborative Christmas song is the 6th officially released song from both collectives. Both groups are bound to establish their names in local and international scenes representing Filipino culture and music…so stay tuned! Check out “Maligaya Ang Pasko” below!
