KZ Tandingan hooks up with international producers GATTÜSO and Frogmonster for the new electronic club anthem "Somebody Like You." The Filipino R&B/Pop artist dubbed "Asia's Soul Supreme" was the perfect match to accompany the electro-dance track.

With a collective 1.75 billion streams between them over the last 2 years, the unexpected trio pushes the boundaries of dance music with a truly global collaboration that features two versions: one in English and another in Mandarin. "Somebody Like You" has something for everyone and will get you up and dancing.

The track is released via Liquid State and Sony Music and can be streamed on your favorite music platforms here. Check out the tracks in both languages below.

"Asia's Soul Supreme," KZ Tandingan is back with an empowering pop track, "Winning" that talks about choosing to make oneself better. The Tagalog-English track was produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer DJ Flict, and co-written by GRAMMY-winner TxTHEWAY with multi-hyphenate Filipino producer and songwriter Jonathan Manalo. Check out the track on all streaming platforms and watch the out-of-this-world music video below!

"Winning" embodies the idea of believing in yourself and choosing to fight on. The song carries a futuristic beat with a Filipino rap written by KZ herself. The hard-hitting beats and fierce melodies will draw you in and have you put it on repeat. KZ and the team fuses different styles together for a modern and unique record with a message regarding self-love, growth, and confidence.

"'Winning' is an empowering song that reminds us that instead of just sulking after a bad break up, you can always choose to win in life and fight for yourself - make it something that’s going to push you to make yourself better."

KZ TANDINGAN

ABOUT KZ TANDINGAN

Since then, she has been called “Asia’s Soul Supreme” as she continues to excite the music industry and her supporters. With her exemplary talent, KZ has broken out of the shadow of her win and paved a way for herself. She has evolved to be an artist who dares to be different, edgy and authentic both with her sound, look and style. Now she has her own share of hit songs, shows, highlighted by numerous recognitions. KZ also catapulted into the international scene when she joined a singing contest in China, “Singer 2018,” where she took the top spot, beating UK artist, Jessie J.

Top Class: The Rise To P-Pop Stardom is the newest talent search survival show that aims to form the next male Pinoy pop band. With KZ Tandingan named as a singing mentor, it’s only right that the show tapped an A-list dance mentor as well.

Filipino-American singer/dancer Brian Puspos has been named the official dance mentor for Top Class: The Rise To P-Pop Stardom.

“It means more than anybody could imagine. Although I am from the USA, I am a proud full-blooded Filipino, and I am so honored to be a part of making history and finding the next P-POP stars. To represent dance at such a high level and to be a proud Filipino on a platform like this is a dream come true,” says Brian.

Brian’s resume as a dancer is as accomplished as they come. As a choreographer, he has worked with household names in music such as K-Pop group BTS, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and more. He also boasts two top 3 finishes in America’s Best Dance Crew with SoReal Cru (second season) and Mos Wanted Crew (seventh season.) Puspos was also awarded “Male Choreographer of the Year” by World of Dance in 2012 and 2014.

The pair weaved a jaw-dropping rendition that will surely touch the hearts of listeners leaving us speechless.

About the Asian Television Awards

Launched in 1996, Asian Television Awards is the Asian TV industry’s most significant and celebrated event, recognizing excellence in programming, production, and performance.

Determined by an expert panel of over 60 judges from across the region, the Awards comprise more than 50 categories and represent the industry’s foremost recognition by enjoying the support of every major industry player throughout the region. The Asian Television Awards attracts a multitude of entries from a wide range of free-to-air television stations, pay-TV platforms, OTT platforms, independent production houses, and multi-channel network operators in Asia.

In 2005, the Awards moved from a simple ceremony to a Gala Dinner format with the first gala function at the Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore.  Over the next decade, the Gala Dinner grew in scale and size.

As part of its evolution, the Awards became a televised ceremony in 2013 and moved into a 2-day format comprising the Gala Dinner on Day 1 and the ATA Live Show on Day 2.  Starting with only Mediacorp and Fox Entertainment in 2013, the ATA Live Show has since secured support from 15 broadcasters in the region covering a footprint of 500 million homes.

In 2018, the Awards progressed onto yet another milestone in its journey to be the ultimate accolade for content and talents in Asua Pacific.  That year, the Awards became a rotating Awards ceremony.  Starting with Malaysia in 2018, the Awards then moved to the Philippines in 2019.  Slated to move to Cambodia in 2020 and Vietnam in 2021, the plans were disrupted as a result of the Covid outbreak.

At its 25th anniversary in 2020, the Awards expanded its reach further beyond broadcast channels by partnering with Twitter and Weibo to bring the live event to millions of fans across the region. Not only had this strategic partnership provided a more immersive engagement for our audience on the social media front, but also allowed for greater levels of interaction between fans and their favorite celebrities.

In the coming 26th edition this 2021, ATA is once again taking the experience to the next level for its social media reach by expanding its partnership to include Facebook. This strategic partnership is a step further into ATA’s goal of reaching its millions of fans across the region. This has allowed the Award’s social media presence to become a platform for all stakeholders in the industry to engage with one another.

While there are notable equivalents in the U.S. and in Europe, the Asian Television Awards is the only event of its kind in Asia, making it the definitive platform to showcase and recognize quality content productions and talents within Asia.
