Warner Music Philippines signee Boy Graduate has just dropped his debut EP entitled “Own Advice.” The five-track project is inspired by the Australian/Filipino artist returning to Australia after living in the Philippines from 2019 to 2020. Throughout the project, his upfront honesty and lack of filter shows him at his most vulnerable.
The focus single, “What A Life,” further details the core of Boy Graduate’s story over the last two years and serves as a remarkable introduction to the project, highlighting the list of challenges faced while chasing a true purpose. Additionally, his single “The Long Way” with labelmate Sin Santos received airtime on popular Australian radio station Triple J Unearthed in January 2022.

Luke April’s newest single is something everyone can definitely relate to. With “Selfie,” the 20-year-old producer/recording artist from Davao City tells an all too familiar tale about expressing premature feelings early on when establishing a connection with a potential partner.
Based on his own personal experience, the song draws inspiration from being obsessed with a picture/selfie of someone that he is infatuated with. Luke repeatedly croons on the chorus, “I don’t wanna live my life without you” expressing the premature feelings from both parties in the relationship.
“Selfie” follows a similar theme to Luke’s previous releases, spacy minimalist moody production combined with heavily vibey vocalization. Stream more from Luke April’s catalog below.
