Meet Filipina-Australian girl group H3rizon (pronounced: horizon) consisting of members: Bernadette Marquez, Gabrielle Montalbo, Tiara Nyuzo. The Sydney-based female artists have been making waves on social media and you may recognize them from their TikTok account, where they boast over 2.3M followers.

Their newest single, “F YOUR FLOWERS,” is their major label release debut with Warner Music Philippines. The song is inspired by one of the members receiving an unwanted gift from someone interested in her and the music video is inspired by the Netflix series Bridgerton. Watch the visuals below!

Arthur Miguel is back with a new song! The Philippines-based singer/songwriter’s newest release ‘Huli’ sounds almost tailor-made for marriage receptions. The slow jam is a serenade track written from the perspective of a man reciting his wedding vows. This ballad will definitely have you in your feels!

According to a press release from Arthur’s label, the Tagalog track revolves around what makes relationships extraordinary and magical. Additionally, the song is meant to remind everyone that there will be a person who is willing to endure the ups and downs in life together with them. If you haven’t found that special somebody yet, one day you will find someone that supports you fully and gives you the love you deserve.

Listen to ‘Huli’ below.

Arthur Miguel is one of the newest household names in Filipino music. Originally a cover artist, his newfound knack for songwriting has landed him several trending tracks with millions of streams on Spotify in the last two years. His latest release “Kupido” is a song about moving on and aims to add to his impressive resume as a 22-year-old recording artist.

According to a statement provided by Arthur Miguel’s record label: “Kupido” talks about a relationship that failed because one side chose to give up. The song speaks about the challenges, the pain, the sadness, and the hope of a broken person.

While the song sonically may sound bright and optimistic, the lyrics are the complete opposite. According to Arthur, in order to finally move on you need to balance everything – if it hurts, you need to bandage it and if the bandage is suffocating, you need to learn to reduce it in the right way.

Check out “Kupido” below and be ready to be in your feels.

Last year Jamie Miller brought us Here's Your Perfect, the masterpiece that melted everyone's hearts, put them in their feels, and has been everyone's favorite song to cover globally. Now the Pop singer-songwriter has debuted his first EP "Broken Memories." The six-song EP includes the Wales-born, Los Angeles-based artist’s breakthrough hit, Here’s Your Perfect, along with such radiant new tracks as Last Call and I Lost Myself In Loving You.

The EP also includes the single It Is What It Is, a track produced by Louis Schoorl (5 Seconds of Summer) and Cal Shapiro (Timeflies), and co-written by Miller, Schoorl, and Shapiro. Check out what Jamie had to say about the guitar-driven anthem and check out the music video below.

“‘It Is What It Is’ is what I tell myself anytime something doesn’t go my way,” Miller says. “It means that whatever happens, you can get through it and move on. It was important to me to include that song on the EP and let my fans know that even when things are dark, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Broken Memories sees Jamie affirming his talent for transforming heartache into songs with a profoundly uplifting power. The EP is available now via Atlantic Records/Geaux Uptown Records and can be streamed here.

Jamie is also out on tour in the US in May and June. Check out the dates below and get your tickets here.

R&B soul singer jikamarie experienced a successful fan base growth even in lieu of the pandemic. The Warner Music signee has garnered 2.4M monthly Spotify listeners and her latest single "Lutang" has already racked up an astonishing 15.3M streams on Spotify and more than 1.7M views on Youtube.  The vocalist grew up in a musically inclined family and started composing songs at the age of 20.

“I liked the idea that I could keep writing songs and singing them as a career. I also believe in the saying, ‘if you pursue something that you love as a career, you will never have to work a day in your life.’” - jikamarie

According to jikamarie, she has made it her purpose to encourage aspiring Filipino artists to press on with their craft, and for Filipino listeners to amplify our fellow Filipino artists nationally and globally.

jikamarie has just dropped her new single, entitled “aking buwan” in preparation for a roll-out that includes more expected singles leading up to an album.

According to her,  “aking buwan is a track that talks about the pining for someone who doesn't know you exist. It's a parallel of admiring the moon and the moon, not knowing that there's you that exists to admire it. Bittersweet because even then, the pining only grows stronger.”

Check out “aking buwan” and more of jikamarie’s top songs below.

Midnasty has been a mainstay in the Philippine music scene, making waves and putting on for Dumaguete since 2004. Recently, the famed group released their latest single "Solo Na Lobo," a drill-inspired single about their triumphs through their trials and tribulations, is their first drop under Warner Music's partnership Filipino record label ParaIsla through 7640, a full-scale music and video production subsidiary under AGC Power Holdings Corp. We had sat down with the group and discussed their new partnership, their new single, what it means to them to represent Dumaguete on a global scale, and much more.

Q: First and foremost, let’s have those who are meeting you for the first time get to know you all more through your music. Send us three clips, can be anything from released songs, music videos, live show performances, interviewers, etc. for our readers to get a glimpse of who Midnasty are as artists.

Q: Describe your sound in 3 words?

Destined for greatness

Q: How much does being from Dumaguete City influence you? For example how much does it influence your sound and your passion for breaking barriers from your backyard?

Growing up in the city of gentle people, taught me to be calm and peaceful. Though we grew up in the ghetto, we remain positive. And the same goes for our music, it always tells the story of love, harmony, and triumph.

Q: Solo Na Labo sounds very drill influenced. Drill is a sound that regionally dominates in the UK, Chicago, and New York. What inspired you all when making this hard-hitting single? Is there a distinct regional sound from Dumaguete City that you plan on introducing to the world, similar to how drill has inspired artists worldwide?

We decided to use drill and put our style to it. This project also serves as our contribution to the local hip hop scene, showing our flexibility in any genre. We wanted to express to the fans that it's okay to play and experiment with music styles.

Q: Being from the Philippines, how much does it mean to you to partner with Warner Music and to plan to take your music international?

It's an honor to partner with Warner Music. Remembering those days where you send demos to radio stations and send mixtapes to labels hoping to get the chance to work with them, and now we are here. It is also a good feeling to be given freedom in creating different styles of music with everyone having confidence in our output. Wherever the music will take us, we will represent our roots and of course, the Warner family, who first trusted our group with taking the next step to global heights.

Q: Reading your background story, this wasn’t an overnight success. This is years, decades, 10,000 hours plus of grinding: blood, sweat, and tears. What advice would you share with any up-and-coming artists struggling with the process right now?

Our simple advice to all upcoming artists is - Trust. Take your time, and wait for the right moments. Stay hungry for progress and remember that there is always room for improvement.

Q: What should fans, both old and new, be on the lookout for from Midnasty in 2022 and beyond?

Let's all together celebrate and witness as we elevate our game in the platform, with all the endless possibilities on what we have in store for everyone.

Q: Where can we find you on social media and follow/like/subscribe to you?

Warner Music Group recently announced that Sarah Ismail has been promoted to Managing Director at Warner Music Philippines. As a core member of Warner Music’s regional executive team, Sarah will oversee its operations throughout the Philippines.

Sarah has been with WMG since 2019 and was promoted swiftly to become Regional Marketing Director for Greater China & Southeast Asia. In this role, Sarah was responsible for leading Warner Music’s Regional Marketing Team and was in charge of mentoring its affiliates, collaborating closely with them to localize and adapt global and regional strategies.

“I couldn’t be more excited about stepping into this role. The Philippines is one of our key markets in South East Asia, as the digital business there has grown tremendously. Manila itself has become a major target for upcoming artists and is a “trigger city”, capable of propelling tracks to become global hits."

Sarah Ismail MD Warner Music Philippines

With over 10 years of experience in the music industry, Sarah has worked on campaigns ranging from Pop Icon Lady Gaga’s first-ever showcase in Asia to debut concerts in Cambodia for powerhouse vocalists like Jessie J and Demi Lovato. She has also played an integral role in the burgeoning careers of numerous breakthrough artists, such as Calum Scott and Greyson Chance, by enhancing their exposure throughout Asia and growing their fanbase.

In 2010 Sarah began a nine-year stint at Universal Music Group, where she rose through the ranks and became Regional Marketing Director, covering Southeast Asia and Korea. Sarah relocated to Hong Kong in 2017 for work but is now headed to the Philippines to take up her new role at WMG.

Last Valentine’s Day, Filipino-Nepali soul/R&B singer Jason Dhakal dropped the music video for “Body & Soul,” the first of 7 tracks from his debut EP “lovesound,” distributed by Warner Music Philippines.

The video, directed & produced by TwoFold Media, actually begins with the ethereal “dream2doubt – interlude,” the 4th track from “lovesound,” used as a moodsetter to ease into the languorous boldness of “Body & Soul.” It starts off with a scenic pan of luscious cove, slowly revealing Jason lounging by a pool with daintily scattered flower petals at night, almost auspiciously looking at a curious peach before biting into it and plunging into the pool.

The narrative of the video then takes a more sensual turn as it dives deeper into the concept of sexual exploration and non-conventional forms of intimacy and relationships. Daytime scenes with two individuals who seem to be home alone are interspliced with striking imagery of their fantasies through highly suggestive closeups of fruits, flowers, food and more. Such a candid and grounded approach to eroticism sends a powerful message that’s uncommon in today’s local media.

Produced by the prolific & widely renowned Lustbass, “Body & Soul” unapologetically indulges in the adoration of one’s beloved and the craving to merge with him/her on every level. “Let me ease your mind / Your soul, your body / Cater only to you, you're mine / Ain't fucking with nobody,” Jason croons passionately in the chorus.

Body & Soul” is the follow-up to Jason’s single “Endlessly + Tenderly” which was released last August as part of “semilucent,” the debut mixtape by 88rising’s new label Paradise Rising, which featured emerging Filipino artists such as Leila Alcasid and Massiah among others. The 20 year old singer, represented by B-Side Productions, has also previously collaborated with other artists like JCON, CRWN, Arthur Nery and Claudia Barretto.

Along with the release of the music video for “Body & Soul,” Jason also released red versions of “lovesound” shirts to celebrate the anniversary of its drop of Valentine’s Day 2020. Get one or more for you &/or your loved one/s on www.jasondhakal.com.
