Ben&Ben just dropped an English cover of their hit record “Langyang Pag-ibig” titled “Was This Love.” The new rendition of the angry break-up anthem translates some of the lyrics to English, while maintaining the flow and structure of the original. Some of the new lyrics in the reimagined verse are: The reworked verse now goes: “Been a while since we last talked I recall the words you said/“Even though what we had might be over now /Honey, can we still be friends?”
Like its predecessor “Langyang Pag-ibig,” follow-up version “Was This Love” is a rock song that lyrically narrates the messiness of a bad break-up. Watch an in-studio performance video of the band performing their latest bilingual release below.
