For years, ABS-CBN’s Bida Star has launched household names in the Philippines showbiz industry. For the first time ever, the successful tv show is launching a version of the franchise that specifically targets finding up and coming musicians and singers.

"Bida Star Singer," hosted by celebrities Karina Bautista, Aljon Mendoza, and Anji Salvacion, will be the first edition of the Bida Star franchise that will exclusively feature singing challenges. These exciting challenges include "The Cover," a live singing showdown in front of their judges, "Online Gig," a challenge where contestants take over Star Hunt's Kumu account, and a "Bida Star Bagsakan."

The contestants will have the opportunity to learn and get constructive criticism from an A-list set of judges which includes: ABS-CBN singing coach Anna Graham, head of "It's Showtime" Polaris Reily Santiago and a weekly celebrity guest judge from Polaris.  The “Bida Star” winner will win an ABS-CBN management and recording contract, a special trophy, and a cash prize of P50,000.
