The next big Christmas rom-com, Love at First Stream from Director Cathy Garcia-Molina celebrated a blue-carpet premiere with 6 Metro Manila Film Festival nominations. The film includes fresh rising stars and is the comeback movie for Director Cathy since her 2019's blockbuster film, Hello, Love, Goodbye.
The special screening was held by co-producer Kumu and included appearances by Daniela Stranner, Anthony Jennings, and Jeremiah Lisbo. For the MMFF, it was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress (Daniela Stranner), Best Editing (Marya Ignacio,) Best Production Design (Norico Santos), Best Original Theme Song (“No Stopping You” by SB19), and Best Visual Effects (Nickl Entertainment Corp.).
The film is a unique collaboration between Star Cinema and KUMU as the livestreaming platform will be incorporated into the film. Love At First Stream stars Daniela Stranner, Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma and Jeremiah Lisbo, as first-time lead stars in a movie. It's certified to be a modern day rom-com as the main characters make a deal to vlog together after a video of them goes viral.
