The 36th Awit Awards went down on Thursday Nov. 9 and the one night ceremony celebrated the biggest names in Filipino talent. While the festivities definitely brought out the who’s who in the music industry, two acts dominated the competition by taking home multiple awards.
OPM bands Dilaw and Ben&Ben were the stars of the 36th Awit Awards as both collectives took multiple home individual awards, while tying for an additional third award. Dilaw took home Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Alternative Recording for its hit record “Uhaw (Tayong Lahat).” Ben&Ben took home Best Pop Recording and Music Video of the Year for “Paninindigan Kita.” They also split the award for Best Performance by a Group Artist.
