RIIZE’s Anton promised Filo BRIIZE that they would come back to Manila after their RIIZING Loud concert. Right now, I find myself counting the days until that promise is kept, just as I count the days wishing the magic of that night could linger a little longer.
Mornings after a much-anticipated K-pop concert, the kind you bought tickets for months in advance and counted down to obsessively, have always been the hardest for me. There’s a strange stillness that settles in after the lights go out. I’m left hovering somewhere in between, still carried by the energy of the night before while slowly realizing it’s already over. All that remains are fancams on my phone and a hoarse voice from screaming every lyric like it was my last chance.

It’s a familiar feeling now. It came after NCT Dream’s The Dream Show 2 and 3, after seeing Treasure three times, and once again, after RIIZE’s. But even though I’ve felt this a lot of times already, why does the silence after the music still feel so loud?
When RIIZE held their first Manila show in 2024 for RIIZING Day, I wasn’t able to attend. That absence stayed with me, so this time, I made sure I would be there. The ticket was something I bought as a birthday gift to myself last year. For months, I imagined the moment shouting “east-to-the-south-to-the-north-to-the-west-side” at the top of my lungs or singing “Love 119” word for word.
They were my 2023 post-pandemic boys, one of the groups I clung to during quieter, lonelier days. I’ve always thought of them as NCT’s brothers, especially knowing Sungchan and Shotaro once stood on the NCT 2020 stage. Seeing them now, fully formed and commanding the crowd on their own, felt both surreal and deeply rewarding.
Wonbin, the ace he was that night, rated the show a 9 out of 10, arguably the highest score he’s given so far on this tour. He wouldn’t shout “Napakasaya!” in the middle of catching his breath for nothing. It was also the night I saw my soft-spoken bias, Anton, fully in the moment in the Philippines, aware that his face was projected onto the MOA Globe and happily indulging in lechon and sisig.

Shotaro was every bit the dancing machine he’s known to be, glowing onstage with effortless precision as if he had his own right light. Sohee showcased his top-tier vocals, steady and powerful throughout the night. Eunseok exuded charm with an idol-actor aura that made you believe he’s destined for a drama role someday. And then there was Sungchan, my concert bias, whom I couldn’t take my eyes off from start to finish.
Post-concert depression doesn’t arrive loudly. It creeps in the silence of the morning, in the absence of something you didn’t realize had filled you so completely. I felt that all over again with RIIZE. In one of their lyrics from “Inside My Love,” they ask, “Would you run / If you realized I’m someone who exists only for you?” I know my answer. I would always run, again and again. From Lower Box 218 or wherever I’m standing, it wouldn’t matter.
So how do I cope with post-concert blues? I let it linger. I feel it fully. I don’t fight it. I sit with the ache, replay the night in my head or in my Instagram stories, scroll through the fancams, and allow myself to miss something that meant so much.
Maybe that’s the price of loving something this much. Despite knowing the ache that comes after goodbyes, I’d still do it all over again—queue for tickets, lose my voice, and wake up the next morning missing a night that already feels like a dream. Because one day, they’ll come back, just as Anton promised, and until then, I’ll keep counting the days and treasuring the moments, waiting for the next time we can feel this alive together.

Got7 member Jackson Wang has just released a new music video and announced the release date for his sophomore album “MAGIC MAN”. The singer/producer’s latest drop “Cruel” is the official second single off of his upcoming project.
Jackson comments, "'Cruel' is a very special record for me. It really set the precedent for where the narrative of the album needed to go and sound.” He further states, “We were working on many records before this one, but we were struggling to find a clear direction. ‘Cruel’ is like a manifestation of the environments and hurdles we had to overcome at the time. Every time we felt we were getting close, something slips past us and it all felt so far away. Once ‘Cruel’ came into our hands, it all made sense for us, it was like a beautiful mental breakdown. ‘Cruel’s’ grunge, and raw sound are exactly the perfect representation of the distorted and warped story that I am trying to unfold. It is the opus to a wild yet beautiful symphony."
He also revealed “MAGIC MAN” will drop on September 9, 2022. This 10-track LP will feature Jackson at his most vulnerable and follows his journey as he finds himself in an alternate reality, operating under the laws of mystery, temptation, and confusion.
Check out the official “MAGIC MAN” track-list and “Cruel” music video below:
1) Blow
2) Cruel
3) Champagne Cool
4) Go Ghost
5) Drive It Like You Stole It
6) Come Alive

Careless Music talents, James Reid and Liza Soberano take their moves to South Korea when they meet up with Korean-American artist Jay Park and part take in the "Need to Know" dance challenge. Together they pulled off one of the smoothest dances that had all K-Pop and P-pop fans going crazy.
James and Jay Park show off their skills in a studio and add a little more flare to the original choreography. We dog this pairing and can feel something brewing between these two pop stars.
Liza and Jay Park take the challenge outdoors in unintentional matching outfits. We definitely need more of Liza doing these dance challenges!
These were collabs we didn't know we needed and can't wait to see what else these Careless Music artists have in store for us!

Previous Star Circle Quest runner-up, Sandara Park aka Dara took the 88Rising Coachella stage with her K-Pop group, 2NE1. This surprise performance became one of the highlights to Weekend 1 as the group hadn't done a live performance since 2015. The K-Pop group that consists of members Dara, Bom, Minzy, and leader CL who also performed solo on the same stage brought back the nostalgia with their hit, "I Am The Best."
Dara began her career with Star Magic in 2004, starring in films and shows alongside her love team partner, Hero Angeles. Before moving back to South Korea in 2007, she also ventured into music releasing a self-titled album. It became the only album by a South Korean to be certified platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.
Since CL was gearing up for her solo set, she extended the invite to her bandmates. According to Rappler, "CL wanted to get together [her] strength and [their] strength, before it was too late." The reunion made many fans' dream come true while letting the group thank them for sticking by their side all these years.
All members were excited to get everyone back together since disbanding back in 2016 and after releasing their final single in 2017. Dara shared how happy she was to spend several days with her bandmates while preparing for their Coachella performance.
Could this mean that there's a possibility for more music and performance from all of the ladies of 2NE1? Fingers crossed hoping there's more to come.

Lalisa Manobal aka Lisa from the global phenomenon girl group BLACKPINK recently took over Spotify's Dope AF Playlist and shared some of her favorite songs. She's been pretty busy with the release of her solo songs "Lalisa" and "Money," Lisa still had time to curate a surprising playlist.
According to NYLON Manila, the playlist contains a bunch of female artists and a handful of them are Filipinas. With Lisa being a global superstar, we weren't totally sure what kind of music we'd see on the playlist but we definitely love her wide range of taste in music. Each track shows a side of Lisa's style as an artist. She can do pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Check out which of your favorite Filipina artists Lisa included who are Dope AF!

Dope AF is a playlist on Spotify that regularly highlights female Asian musicians. The description goes, “Dope, Asian, and Femme” and these ladies are killing it in the game. The songs all span from rap, hip-hop, R&B, pop, and slow jams giving everyone a track and artist for every mood. Lisa does a great job of mixing up the playlist with artists we all know while also introducing us to rising musicians.
We love to see female artists supporting other female artists! Which of the tracks above have you already heard and which ones are your new go-to? Tell us on @myxnews!
