What happens when comedy G.O.A.T. meets boxing G.O.A.T.? You get a team up you didn’t know you needed. Jo Koy and his son Lil’ Jo visited the boxing legend Manny Pacquiao at Wildcard Boxing Gym as he trains for his next fight. Pacquiao’s next fight is set for August 21st in Las Vegas for the welterweight title initially against Errol Spence Jr. However, he’ll now face Cuba’s Yordenis Ugas after a retinal tear in Spence’s left eye was discovered during a pre-fight medical exam.
Jo Koy is the latest celebrity to stop by the Los Angeles boxing gym to catch the G.O.A.T. train. Naturally, he became part of the crew and took over Pac Man’s livestream on the spot. Jo Koy also chatted with the ringside trainers and longtime coach, Freddie Roach. Coach Freddie even asked Jo Koy if Lil’ Jo was funny too. As Jo Koy was playing hype man during the workout, he calls out for Manny’s training shirt saying, “Manny I want that shirt!” Just as Jo Koy was excited seeing Pac Man, spectators were stoked to see Jo Koy. They even deemed him the “Manny Pacquiao of comedy.” Either way, the respect between Jo Koy and Manny Pacquiao is mutual. Two G.O.A.T.S. in their own craft representing the Philippines.
