Leonor Will Never Die (Ang Pagbabalik ng Kwago) is set to screen at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. The film tells the story of Leonor Reyes, an action film writer and director from the 80s who enters the world of her unfinished screenplay.

Martika Escobar is an upcoming filmmaker behind the selected film. Leonor Will Never Die is only the second Philippine production to compete at Sundance under the World Dramatic Section. Join in on the festival this year and catch the premiere on January 21st at 9:30pm (MST) with a live Q&A with Martika Escobar, producers, and cast. On the Sundance site, it described Leonor Reyes as once a major player in the Filipino film industry. She created successful action films, but now struggles to pay the bills. Leonor looks for opportunities and finds an advertisement for screenplays. She digs up an unfinished script about a young Ronwaldo who's forced to avenge his brother's murder at the hand of thugs.
