Alab (Burning) - SB19
"Alab (Burning)" released on December 25, 2019, through their new label Sony Music Philippines. The song is part of the album Get in the Zone, and was written by one of the members, Pablo and Korean composer Han Tae Soo. The song has reached number one on Billboard LyricFind global chart. The music video intro for "Alab (Burning)" was released on January 9, 2020 on SB19's YouTube channel. In the intro of the video, the members were asked about the color of their love that will represent their personality.
Catriona - Matthaios
The viral hit that hit the social media waves was inspired by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. Matthaios' song made for a simple yet catchy and appropriate callback to Gray’s 2018 pageant coronation. The song earned more than 28 million views and close to 300,000 likes. You couldn't miss the dance craze that came along with the hype.
Lifetime - Ben&Ben
The track was written from a fan's point of view. For the group, it was a different writing experience taking on someone else's story when Ben&Ben is used to writing from their own experiences. However, it's not without putting a little of themselves into the song as well. Paolo Benjamin said, "I’m sure lahat tayo, at one point in our lives, napagdaanan natin yung experience na yun."
Marikit - Juan Caoile, Kylewish
The pop track with a touch of rap is an ode in appreciation to all women. The Tagalog song was originally written for Caoile's girlfriend and was the inspiration. For the track, Caoile and childhood friend Kyle Caplis finally came up with a collaboration for "Marikit", combining different musical beats, hip-hop with the song in lyrical, old Tagalog tone. Since then the song is trending globally on streaming and social platforms earning 250 million views.
Paubaya - Moira Dela Torre
Moira Dela Torre is known for her sweet voice and heartfelt music. However, Paubaya tugs on a string of heartbreak and emotions. When the song was released, many people recalled their heartbreaking experiences in love. The song is seemingly about a person who is in love with this someone who doesn’t love them back. It talks about being the right person but staying with the wrong person because it won't work out in the end. The song talks about the pain of letting go someone you held on to for so long and loved forever.
