Filipino hitmakers Ben&Ben are back with a new global release and it has music fans in their feels! Written by Ben&Ben’s very own Paolo Benjamin, “The Ones We Once Loved” offers a unique perspective on love, forgiveness, and break-ups.

“It's a song that owns up to one's faults, makes proper apologies, but also expresses hurt, as breakups are often two-way things,” says the band in an official statement. “It’s also one of the hardest songs we’ve written, because it requires the writer to forgive himself for his past and own up to his faults and mistakes. The painstaking process towards that state, the cycles of anxiety and catharsis that the writer went through, and the eventual expression of all of that in the form of this song, as an encapsulation of such a heavy journey, is what makes this song stand out among our other songs.”

Ben&Ben just dropped an English cover of their hit record “Langyang Pag-ibig” titled “Was This Love.” The new rendition of the angry break-up anthem translates some of the lyrics to English, while maintaining the flow and structure of the original. Some of the new lyrics in the reimagined verse are: The reworked verse now goes: “Been a while since we last talked I recall the words you said/“Even though what we had might be over now /Honey, can we still be friends?”

Like its predecessor "Langyang Pag-ibig," follow-up version “Was This Love” is a rock song that lyrically narrates the messiness of a bad break-up. Watch an in-studio performance video of the band performing their latest bilingual release below.

Ben&Ben is back with new release Langyang Pag-ibig, which in English translates to "That's just love." The track is an angsty rock anthem that lyrically wades into the messiness of a bad breakup. The song depicts the struggle and anger of someone trying to get their life back together.

“It's the song where we flexed our musicality the most,” says the acclaimed band. “It's three songs in one song, but it still sounds like one song.” This latest track was produced by Ben&Ben and Jean Paul Verona, mixed by Sam Marquez and Verona, and mastered by Leon Zervos.

“We’ve always wanted to make a song with this vibe, and we think the songwriting in itself begged for it,” shares the chart-topping folk-pop group in a statement. “It helped that Jean Paul and Sam were very familiar with the vibe we were going for and that helped create the general mood and sound we wanted for Langyang Pag-ibig.”

Filipino folk-pop collective Ben&Ben is back with new music and their new release brings all the feels.

“Paninindigan Kita” is an upbeat bop that narrates the fearlessness of fighting for someone you love despite the disapproval from other people around the situation. Despite the deep emotions the song captures, it still maintains a pop vibe thanks to amazing songwriting from Paolo and Miguel Benjamin and catchy production that features layers of melodic guitar lines, dazed harmonies, and deft arrangements

“It is also an ode to a lover that might be hesitant to take a step forward in the relationship,” says the nine-piece outfit. “It's a heartfelt song that gives a balance between understanding where the lover is coming from, and a gentle reassurance that the one singing the song is ready and sure, after learning a lot so far about life and love.”

It's the collab we never knew we needed! Our best queen Pia Wurtzbach and our favorite band Ben&Ben have teamed up for an epic video which made our hearts sing and got us flipping our hair!

This was a total fangirl moment for Queen P who became an instant fan of Ben&Ben after discovering one of the MYX chart-topping group's songs in 2019. She was visibly excited to finally talk to her OPM idols and fellow Cream Silk ambassadors in their virtual meetup.

Ben&Ben's frontmen Paolo and Miguel - known for their heartfelt anthems and signature long hair - were equally starstruck with Pia. The two still couldn't believe that they now belonged to the Cream Silk family alongside the popular beauty queen.

Of course, Pia just had to put the Ben&Ben members' hair flip skills to the test during the fun tutorial session - and they definitely nailed it! The former Miss Universe also shared some tips on how to confidently strut on the catwalk and properly deliver the Cream Silk taglines which they all aced as well.

As a reward for teaching Ben&Ben how to be perfect Cream Silk endorsers, the 9-piece band serenaded Queen P with the #CreamSilkArawAraw song which gave her (and us) goosebumps! As if that kilig moment wasn't enough, Pia even got to live out her secret dream of becoming a singer. She performed her own beautiful rendition of the song, using the Cream Silk bottle as her microphone.
