This summer is about to be epic with the Guardians back protecting the galaxy. Dave Bautista is back with friends as they debuted the trailer in Brazil at the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP).

According to Collider.com, "we see that Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) is now working with the Ravagers and is attempting to explain to Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) that the Gamora he’s in love with is no longer here. Like the two before, music holds a special place in Star-Lord’s heart, and the soundtrack will no doubt reflect that." The group set off for the final adventure to close out this trilogy in the MCU.

RUN DMC's Rev Run brings us along for a hip-hop reimagining of The Nutcracker ballet set in New York City. It’s the night of the annual New Year’s Eve Block Party and Maria-Clara’s (Caché Melvin) Mom and Pop (Allison Holker Boss and Stephen “tWitch” Boss) aren’t getting along — and it’s bringing her down. Maria-Clara embarks on a holiday adventure to bring her parents back together, finding help along the way from the magical toymaker, Drosselmeyer (Comfort Fedoke), and the Nutcracker (Du-Shant “Fik-shun” Stegall) who she brings to life. Maria-Clara’s journey takes her from the streets of New York to fantasy worlds where she battles with Mice and Toy Soldiers (Viktor White, BDash, Kevin “Konkrete” Davis), and back in time to the Land of Sweets in order to find the key to unlock her holiday wish. Will it be enough to rekindle her parents’ lost love before the clock strikes midnight? Featuring best-in-class dancers Mikhail Baryshnikov, Tiler Peck, KidaTheGreat AKA Kida Burns, the Jabbawockeez as magical snowflakes, and more. The Disney+ Original special “The Hip Hop Nutcracker” is inspired by the live stage phenomenon, created by Jennifer Weber, touring America this holiday season.

The animated series on Disney Junior, Firebuds premiered this year and highlights the role of first responders and their families. The young friends of first responders come from all walks of life, but the exciting aspect of the show is the spotlight of Filipino families. One of the main characters, Bo Bayani from Gearbox Grove connects with his family who are all first responders.

This is the first time a Disney kids animation features a Filipino lead. However, Bo isn't the only Fil-Am character on the series. One of his best friends, Violet, is also of Japanese and Filipino background. She was adopted by her two moms making it one of the few times a same-sex couple is featured on a children's show.

Bo's family are all part of the first responder family. His dad is Fire Chief Bill Bayani voiced by Fil-Am actor Lou Diamond Philips. It also features his grandpa and retired fire chief, Lolo Ben and Lola Belen where they make the Filipino dish, lumpia together. A fun aspect of the show are the tributes to Filipino culture like having a talking truck called, Jipney that has a disco ball and karaoke machine. Catch all it all on Disney+

Set in the middle of an ongoing war, the sci-fi fantasy takes you on an adventure. “We had been working on it, but the pandemic affected everyone’s timeline. It’s now in postproduction, I believe. It’s action and fantasy—that’s all I can say for now. We had a great director and cast, so for sure, it’s going to be a good one. I’m looking forward to seeing it,” Sam Concepcion told Inquirer.

“Dave is one of the most soulful and talented collaborators I’ve been lucky enough to work with — the chance to build an iconic character with him and make the kind of long-dark-night-of-the-soul thriller that I’ve always loved, is too good to be true. The fact that we get to do it all in Miami, guided by the epic cultural knowledge of Drake and Future The Prince, is frankly a mindblower. And there’s nobody more perfect to be our partner than Infrared, whose creative ambitions aligned perfectly with what we want this movie to be,” said Pearce.

Catch Bautista in other projects set to also release soon from Glass Onion: Knives Out 2 and M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabi. Not only is he set for acting, next year Bautista will produce and star in the Netflix film Unleashed. He will also shoot the Dune sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and MGM Lethal Weapon -esque buddy cop comedy opposite Jason Momoa which originated from a tweet.
