Gutierrez mentions that he started writing “Hanggang Sa Dulo” during a misunderstanding he encountered and the best way he could communicate what he was feeling was by writing this song:

“I wrote ‘Hanggang Sa Dulo’ during a misunderstanding I had and the only thing I could remember feeling at that time was the fear of losing someone I truly cared about. At the time, I didn’t really care what I had to do, but I just knew that I had to figure something out to make things work no matter what. That’s the message that I wanted to send with this song.”
