Literally, this sh*t is B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Earlier this week, Saweetie dropped news that she's collaborating with pop-rock queen, Gwen Stefani. Last month, she released Slow Clap but now we get a remix with the Icy GRL herself. The remix is out today! They also teased the music video, Gwen said on her profile, "u didn’t think we’d leave u without a music video, did u?!"

"It's Slow Clap 'with a little bit of extra sauce'".

Based on the snippets we get on Saweetie and Gwen's Instagrams, they found themselves new best friends. The look for the video is retro. Anyone else getting hollaback girl vibes? They go for the Nike Dunks with a varsity chic look. Gwen is expected to release her fifth solo studio album some time soon, "Let Me Introduce Myself."

Cosmopolitan Magazine Tap In with Saweetie in this month's issue. The "multi-hypenate entrepreneur" has been at the top of Billboard Charts cracking the Top 20 on the Hot 100. She talks about grinding during her educational journey but also going through PTSD early in her career from some of the hate she received. She talks about the importance of being comfortable in your own skin and not having anyone dim your light.

Saweetie always felt underestimated as a woman of color. She's worked on owning who she is since her time at USC. "Yes, she’s read the tweets...about pretty privilege, about the ways someone like her can use their looks as unearned currency". Her response to that is the debut album, Pretty B*tch Music where she can take back the time she was underestimated. Set to release this spring, the album is a chance to prove the haters wrong.

“I’m really grateful for my start because the mistakes, the struggle, the grind—it allows me to appreciate the rewards that come now... I know what it feels like to sleep in motels, to drive and do promo, to be stressed out.”

Saweetie on Working hard

Besides being a rapper and content creator on the rise, Ate Icy's keeping busy. The feature says she's working on merch, more content, a jewelry line, a makeup collaboration with Morphe, and a PrettyLittleThing capsule collection. She also looks to spread the wealth through her nonprofit, The Icy Baby Foundation. The nonprofit started with her grandmother assists those in need like single-mothers, low-income communities, education efforts, and people living with autism.

In our debut version of "My Motto" on MYX, Saweetie shares her love for both of her mixed Black and Filipino culture, she shares how fans call her "Ate Icy," (which is a Filipina term of endearment for a sister or sister-like figure).

On a recent episode of her Vlog series, "The Icy Life," Billboard chart-topping Saweetie talks with her mom about her love for adobo, lumpia and sinigang. While she cooks the meal, her beautiful mom shares a funny story of how the rapper accidentally ate wasabi at a young age and was crying.

Saweetie mentioned in our interview her love for sinigang alongside her funny "ma'arte" nickname given to her by her Lola. She talked about loving to visit Palawan, Philippines and how black and Filipino cooking and culture is very similar.
