Two R&B queens unite for a track that looks to encourage and uplift listeners. Mary J. Blige's track, "Good Morning Gorgeous" is reimagined in this remix featuring H.E.R. These two artists gives the track a different sounds with their harmonies, riffs, and verses.

H.E.R. co-wrote and co-produced the remix alongside D'Mile, giving the track ad-libs as both female powerhouses take turns singing throughout the track. According to Rated R&B, the studio session for creating this remix showed their professionalism and how dedicated they were to making a great track.

A&R Eddie Fourcell said, “That [studio session] was probably, of my career working, the fastest written record ever...There was a purpose and an intention in that session, and everyone was professionally a great musician. It was no playing around. H.E.R. on the bass, Lucky [Daye] on the melodies, and Tiara [Thomas] helping out. It was just so magical. It came about in literally two hours.”

When you have talent like Mary J. Blige and H.E.R., there could be no bad record. "Good Morning Gorgeous" is now available on all streaming platforms.

The glitz and glam of the Academy Awards was back with all the big games in film. Vanessa Hudgens brought the energy as a co-host to ABC's Oscars Red Carpet Show interviewing stars as they arrive for the 94th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. She chatted with anyone you can think of from her tick, tick...BOOM! co-star Andrew Garfield to Best Actress nominee Nicole Kidman. Vanessa brought the joy and hype to the pre-show event that got us ready for the big night. Before channeling her hosting persona, she went through rehearsals and was so excited she even called her mom, Gina to show her what she's up to.

Saweetie returns with her brand new single “Closer,” with fellow Filipina H.E.R. just in time for Valentine's Day. The Bay bae duo team up for a saucy track that blends both their R&B and Hip-hop sounds. Saweetie teased last week that a new track is on the way, giving us a snippet of the chorus. It had everyone wondering who she collaborated with for "Closer." It was none other than the Filipina, Bay Area R&B powerhouse herself, H.E.R.

HER made her childhood wish come true when she had a guest role on Nick Jr.'s Blue's Clues & You. She posted a snippet of her character as the purple T-rex. HER meets Josh and Blue as they traveled back in time to visit dinosaurs to find out what's in the egg Josh had.

Before HER paid a visit to Blue, Josh's grandma also paid a visit to bring over her bibingka recipe. HER's purple T-rex helped Blue and Josh sort out the different types of dinosaurs. She sang her way through and pointed out how to tell the difference between a Triceratops to a Stegosaurus. The tune is so catchy and made to get stuck in your head. Now, we also know along with Blue which dino is who.

Apple Music recently released the winners to the third annual Apple Music Awards and among those who were recognized for their influence in music and global culture are Olivia Rodrigo and H.E.R. These talented musicians won Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year (Rodrigo) and Songwriter of the Year (H.E.R.).

Olivia Rodrigo had a massive year to say the least from her debut single, "Driver's License" that took pop culture by storm to releasing her charting album, SOUR there's no stopping her. The streaming service recognized that "'Drivers License' registered the highest first-week streams ever for a debut single by an artist on Apple Music globally, reaching No. 1 on the Daily Top 100: Global chart." It also became the fastest debut solo track by a US artist to rack up 5 million Shazams.

As for the album, SOUR earned an Apple Music First Listen virtual event with fans and an accompanying interview with Zane Lowe. The album had the highest first-week streams for a debut album on Apple Music globally, with all 11 songs on the album ranked on the Daily Top 100: Global chart, as well as the Daily Top 100 chart in 66 additional countries. As Olivia takes home 3 Apple Music Awards, she talks about her surreal journey so far. “I did my first interview for ‘drivers license’ with Apple Music, and so much has happened since then,” Rodrigo said. “It’s truly surreal. Thank you to Apple Music for these amazing awards.”

H.E.R. equally had a monumental year from winning a Grammy to an Academy Award, she's been a pioneer in her craft. The 2021 album, Back of My Mind captured H.E.R. as an artist that's "brilliant, confident, and freewheeling." Apple Music highlights that the chart-topping album was the third most streamed R&B/Soul album on Apple Music in its first week of release by a female artist. The singles “Damage” and “Come Through” (featuring Chris Brown) both spent weeks on the Daily Top 100 chart in over 30 countries.

She also collaborated the streaming service for the exclusive “Juneteenth: Freedom Songs” compilation covering Marvin Gaye’s “Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler).” As H.E.R. guests on various Apple Music 1 shows and playlists, she recognizes how important the recognition is in diversifying music as a whole. “I am very honored and blessed to receive this recognition. As a young Black and Filipino artist, and a woman who is on the stage giving my all, there’s no doubt that representation is important. Thank you so much, Apple Music.”

After the announcement that H.E.R. is joining Coldplay on their upcoming Music of the Spheres Tour, she releases two new videos on her official channel. Just today, H.E.R. drops the music video for the ballad "For Anyone."

The visualizer is so simple and focuses on her voice and the lyrics of the song. We see H.E.R. get emotional as she sings to an empty recording studio. They honestly don't make music videos like these anymore, it's just an artist with their instrument and their art.

Also newly released is a BTS video of H.E.R. collaborating with an Orchestra. She preformed at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Phil and just knew that it would make her music better. H.E.R. was excited to get back on stage post-pandemic and have people hear the music in a way never done before. Check out how it all went down below!

With Coldplay releasing their latest album, Music of the Spheres they're now taking it on the road. After H.E.R.'s successful Lights On Festival, she will also be tagging along for most of the tour. Coldplay and H.E.R. sharing the same stage, say no more, we're there! Are they coming to a city near you? You don't want to miss out so make sure you grab your tickets here!

The only downside of the first leg of the tour schedule is its only stopping in the US and Europe for now. The announcement says the tour kicks off in Costa Rica and there's more dates to follow! We hope that Manila is included in the next leg! According to Rolling Stone, "the tour will cut direct emissions from Coldplay’s last tour in 2017 by 50%, as well as power each show entirely by renewable, super-low emission energy; that includes installing solar panels at each venue, “kinetic stadium floor and kinetic bikes powered by fans,” and transporting around a mobile, rechargeable show battery to store the energy.

When we last chatted with Coldplay for a MYXclusive, they reminisced about the last time they were in Manila back in 2017. Lead singer, Chris Martin remembers the warm welcome and excited they were. They can't wait to come back and stay a little longer for more shows around the country. Check it out as they talked about adapting during these times and how they stayed creative as a group!

Since not much has been released yet about the tour, you'll want to make sure to join in our MYX TOK: Coldplay Music fo the Spheres Special to celebrate the album release and more! Hosted by VJ Ai, it'll be a very special listening party and stargazing virtual event with the Philippine Astronomical Society, Inc.! We'll have Coldplay Higher Power shirts and My Universe CD Single to give away so make sure you tune in October 15th at 6:30pm (PHT) presented by Warner Music Philippines, TikTok, and MYX. We might even have more details about tour or BTS on the album. We cannot wait and see you there!

The Global Citizen Live event took place over the weekend spanning across 8 cities with performances from all the artists you could imagine for 24 hours. The event aimed to unit the world to defend the planet and defeat poverty. The broadcast featured artists, celebrities and world leaders coming together to create change and impact climate and poverty. Those who were part of the line up include: Black Eyed Peas, H.E.R. Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Stormzy, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, and more!

With performances from all over the world, including: Lagos, London, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, and Sydney, Global Citizen Live is part of Global Citizen’s 2021 global campaign, a Recovery Plan for the World. The Recovery Plan focuses on five key objectives: ending COVID-19 for all, ending the hunger crisis, resuming learning for all, protecting the planet, and advancing equity for all.

Check out some of the performances from Black Eyed Peas and H.E.R.

BEP performed their set live from Paris and you know they had to sing their unity anthem "Where Is the Love." J Rey Soul and killed the set and it's just so nice to see live shows happening again.

They had a full set and performed some of their hits like "Pump It," "Let's Get It Started," "Hit It," and tons more!

On the West Coast, H.E.R. performed an inspirational set with tracks, "Hold On," "Fight for You," which is an Oscar winner for Best Original Song, and "We Made It."

A surprise we did not see coming, but needed was H.E.R., Stevie Wonder, and Sheila E. finally meeting each other. Stevie Wonder praised H.E.R. for her rendition of "Love's In Need of Love Today" during the CNN event, "Shine a Light." We need some sort of collaboration soon!

Lalisa Manobal aka Lisa from the global phenomenon girl group BLACKPINK recently took over Spotify's Dope AF Playlist and shared some of her favorite songs. She's been pretty busy with the release of her solo songs "Lalisa" and "Money," Lisa still had time to curate a surprising playlist.

According to NYLON Manila, the playlist contains a bunch of female artists and a handful of them are Filipinas. With Lisa being a global superstar, we weren't totally sure what kind of music we'd see on the playlist but we definitely love her wide range of taste in music. Each track shows a side of Lisa's style as an artist. She can do pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Check out which of your favorite Filipina artists Lisa included who are Dope AF!

"When You Love Someone" ft. H.E.R. - Tone Stith

Dope AF is a playlist on Spotify that regularly highlights female Asian musicians. The description goes, “Dope, Asian, and Femme” and these ladies are killing it in the game. The songs all span from rap, hip-hop, R&B, pop, and slow jams giving everyone a track and artist for every mood. Lisa does a great job of mixing up the playlist with artists we all know while also introducing us to rising musicians.

We love to see female artists supporting other female artists! Which of the tracks above have you already heard and which ones are your new go-to? Tell us on @myxnews!
