Island Records Philippines signee dia mate newest single draws from her life experiences from the perspective of gratitude. “Kalimutan” is a song about growth, expressed in an uplifting and dance-inspired sound. “It is about accepting who you are, moving on from the past, and finally moving forward with positive emotion,” dia says, “The journey to acceptance can be a difficult experience but when you are finally there, life becomes a little bit brighter.”

“Kalimutan” is the product of a songwriting session with fellow Filipino artist Quest, who challenged her to switch the tone and channel her experiences through a source of gratitude rather than sadness. Sonically, the song gives off more traditional pop vibes, which is a chance sonically from dia’s R&B and indie pop sound. Check out “Kalimutan” below!
