It's a given that Manila Luzon has fabulous style and we want to also learn how to embrace our inner kings and queens. Aiming for inclusion and belief that some of the most creative people are from the Philippines, Manila Luzon looked to showcase the best pageant talent while crowning someone the Filipino Drag Supreme. Drag is more underground in the Philippines so Manila Luzon wants to bring it to the forefront in a mainstream way. Who doesn't love a good reality show?

“We’re really excited. The drag scene in the Philippines is one of the best drag scenes in the world. And most people have no idea here in the Philippines because it’s still kind of underground.”

Manila Luzon wants to expand the conversation around what drag is and inspire others to create, be in awe of their beauty, and embrace their transformations. Check out more from the issue here!

The Race is on, Philippines! RuPaul has spoken and the Drag Race Philippines casting is underway. Do you have what it takes to take the crown? Casting is now open on their website so sign up and show them what you've got.

But that's not the only show coming to the Philippines! Drag Race Alum Manila Luzon announced Drag Den PH right before the official announcement of Drag Race Philippines. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, she says,

"I'm excited that we're going to create an opportunity similar to [what] RuPaul and World of Wonder have given to me"

"I'm so excited to be able to give back in some way. In the Philippines, the drag scene is still quite small and underground, so I'm excited to bring it to the forefront. Hopefully, they'll have a similar journey that I've had and that the rest of us queens have had [and] we'll take over the world, one little island at a time!"

Drag Race Philippines is the second spin-off of the franchise in Asia following Drag Race Thailand. The show is set to head to WOW Presents Plus and Drag Den PH is set to head to WeTV with a social media partnership with Tik Tok.
