SYNOPSIS
Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a flustered immigrant mother, is contacted from a parallel universe and told that only she can save the world. The unlikely hero must learn to channel her newfound powers and fight through the splintering timelines of the multiverse to save her home, her family, and herself in this big-hearted and irreverent adventure. Who is ready to jump into the action-packed multiverse? A24's Everything Everywhere All At Once is headed to the theaters on March 25th, 2022, and from all the rave reviews at their stint at SXSW this year, it looks like we're in for a treat. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the film is a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action-adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can't seem to finish her taxes.

Michelle Yeoh plays Evelyn Wang, a Chinese-American woman who discovers her existence in multiple universes. We meet different versions of Yeoh's character Evelyn in the film as she "verse jumps," finding a new version of herself within each multiverse. The film also stars Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis. If you're a Marvel fan, you're in for a treat. The company that brings your favorite Marvel superheroes to life is introducing a new hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shang-Chi also known as the Master of Kung Fu and Brother Hand will have its own standalone film coming September 3, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu from the sitcom, Kim's Convenience.

The film marks the first Asian lead in a Marvel project. Based on the teaser, Shang-Chi is skilled in martial arts who looks to live a normal life. However, the life he previously left behind is back to catch up with him. He's left to confront it and choose which path to follow. Also featured in the film is the hilarious Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Tony Leung, and Ronny Chieng. It is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by David Callaham, Cretton and Andrew Lanham.
