About Gastronemy aka Junemy:

Junemy Pantig is a San Diego-based food content creator showcasing her finds on her Instagram as @Gastronemy. She believes that "Home is where the food is" and has strong ties with the community in San Diego. Gastronemy comes from the word gastronomy, which means the practice of eating and cooking good food. Junemy's nickname is Nem, so she incorporated that as a play-on-words to create her brand name. About Snoice:

In 2015, Snoice opened up as a pop-up bar in the corner of Kababayan Bakery, located in San Diego, California. It soon became popular enough that three months after opening, a deal was made to renovate the bakery and build a hole-in-the-wall shop. Since then, Snoice has been striving to serve high-quality, fully customizable interpretations of Taiwanese-inspired shaved snow, Filipino-inspired halo-halo, and the ever-popular boba tea.

Snoice's culture reflects the values of two young parents, who left their careers in New York City's startup world to focus on raising a family. Both lived in households that built small businesses in the restaurant and events industry. Coincidentally, the couple aspired to create a unique environment where their then three-year-old son, Nathan, would have the opportunity to meet with friends and family, pay tribute to Filipino-American culture, and give back to the same neighborhood and community that his parents grew up in.

White Rabbit

https://www.instagram.com/p/CL53acSF670/

White Rabbit Truck is Los Angeles Original Filipino Fusion Truck. The idea started with a tight group of friends noticing the lack of Filipino cuisine in the mainstream. They experimented with various menu items for nearly one year at their home kitchen. After sampling their cuisine to hundreds of friends & family, White Rabbit Truck was born July 10, 2010. With the rise of the popularity of Filipino food, we noticed that there were no places that served true Filipino Fusion food. Now we are able to bring this medley of food to the streets, where everybody can experience the goodness of a few of our favorite childhood Filipino foods, and now with an American and Mexican twist.

Our mission is to introduce the masses to our take on Filipino cuisine. White Rabbit has been fortunate to be featured on multiple media outlets such as Food Network, Travel Channel, KTLA News, Fox LA News, Kababyaan18, ABS CBN, LA Weekly, Zagat, Daily News, and many local publications & blogs. White Rabbit Truck also has restaurants in Los Angeles & Las Vegas

We look forward to seeing you out there and thank everybody for their continued support following the White Rabbit.

SISIG is an original dish in Pampanga Philippines where the couple grew. It was made of boiled then grilled Pork Belly and liver chopped finely seasoned with freshly squeezed  Lemon juice,  chopped onions, salt, and pepper then finished in a very hot sizzling Pan served with white or Java rice and pickled veggies or atchara on the side.

The restaurant is designed to be a Californian - Filipino Barbecue with an open kitchen concept serving fresh ingredients and high-quality meats with a relaxed casual ambiance that everyone will enjoy.  Sisig draws inspiration from the couple's four children who love to eat barbecue chicken, pork, and beef with rice on the side. About Chef Barb Batiste and Big Boi:

After establishing B Sweet, her catering company, dessert trucks and dessert bar, Chef Barb Batiste is FINALLY bringing her savory cooking to the masses. Her first focus... Filipino food! Chef Barb has been making Filipino food with her mom, aunt and grandma since she was a little girl. The Big Boi menu features Chef Barb's versions of Filipino classic recipes and her childhood favorites.

If you have been to Chef Barb's B Sweet Dessert Bar, then you know how much she loves her dad and honors his memory.  His name was Angel, but was fondly nicknamed Boi. Funny enough, MANY Filipino families have a Tito Boi, Lolo Boi or simply a Boi.

So to pay homage to her father and all the other Boi's out there, they chose Big Boi as the name of the restaurant.

If you look closely at the seal, you will see that it is 2 upper case letter B's that are entangled to create a heart. The 2 B's represent Big Boi, Barb Batiste and the unwavering love.
