Saweetie returns with her brand new single “Closer,” with fellow Filipina H.E.R. just in time for Valentine’s Day. The Bay bae duo team up for a saucy track that blends both their R&B and Hip-hop sounds. Saweetie teased last week that a new track is on the way, giving us a snippet of the chorus. It had everyone wondering who she collaborated with for “Closer.” It was none other than the Filipina, Bay Area R&B powerhouse herself, H.E.R.
“Closer” is Saweetie’s first single of 2022, after the hit “Best Friend,” and the lead-in for her debut album, Pretty B*tch Music coming this Spring. Along with the track is the official music video! We catch Saweetie and H.E.R. jetting off as an icy flight attendant and pilot. If you look real closely, you can catch the Philippine flag pinned to H.E.R.’s collar. These two ladies always represent hard for their heritage and we’re all here for it!
