With cuffing season and the holidays right around the corner, Russ Coson’s new single “Closer Than Friends” is a must add to your R&B playlists! The smooth banger, which features punchline packed rap verses from fellow Filipino-American artists Darrell Medellin and Pretty Pape$, was world premiered earlier today on MYX Radio.
According to Russ, “Closer Than Friends” was inspired by a familiar 80s classic. “Had to flip one of my favorite R&B songs from the late 80’s and give it a West Coast vibe!,” said the Bay Area crooner in a caption on his Instagram. Stream “Closer Than Friends” below!
