Yamashiro's Executive Chef Vallerie celebrated her birthday with a 70s themed birthday bash that brought out stars from all over the world from Hollywood to Manila. Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas led the "Happy Birthday" song remixed with his hit single, "Bebot" alongside Vallerie's life long friends, colleagues and supporters. DJ Butch played music from the era while guests dined on the best in Yamashiro's cuisine including Filipino specialty items like lechon and caldareta. Desserts were provided by Brown Baked Goods, Cafe 86 and Knead Eats. Guests were encouraged to come in their best 70s inspired outfits and the crowd did not disappoint.

The exclusive guest list of less than 100 included but not limited to James Reid, Ylona Garcia, Ramona Thornes, Ray Brown, JRey Soul, Jon Jon Briones, Teo Briones, Isa Briones, JayR & Mica Javier, Reggie Lee, Princess Punzalan, Will Devaughn, James Reid, Ivan Dorschner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, DJ Virman, DJ Flict, Garth Garcia, Arci Munoz, Robin Nievera, Alex Wassabi, DJ Bella Fiasco and many more. The MYX & TFC team were onsite to celebrate the chef and the party was celebrated in the same Yamashiro's garden that her private MYX original series screening for her "Making it in America," episode aired. ABOUT CHEF VALLERIE:

Chef Vallerie was born in San Nicholas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, in her Grandfather’s Bakery. At an early age, her parents migrated to the United States in hopes for better opportunities, and later brought Chef Val to the states to raise her in Hawaii once a foundation had been built. A late start to her career has not stopped her from reaching the top. She began her career as a Pastry Chef and, in just a span of a few years, has become the first Yamashiro female Executive Chef at premiere Hollywood restaurant to the stars like Bruno Mars, Michael B. Jordan, H.E.R., Apl.de.ap (Black Eyed Peas) and many more.

Her gracious hospitality and her seasoned palate have created a new renaissance for this famed Hollywood establishment. ABOUT YLONA GARCIA:

Ylona Garcia, is a Filipino-Australian singer, actress & television personality. Garcia rose to prominence after entering as a housemate on the first part of the second special season of ABS-CBN's reality show Pinoy Big Brother (2015), for which she received the title of "Daldal Darling ng Australia" (Lit. Talkative Darling of Australia) and finished first runner-up at the end of the reality show. Ylona Jade Garcia was was born in Sydney, to Filipino parents, both of whom are practitioners in the medical field based in Australia. She is the third among five siblings. At a very young age, Garcia has performed as a front act for several Filipino singers and songwriters such as Martin Nievera, Sarah Geronimo and Rivermaya's former lead vocalist Bamboo Mañalac during their Australian concert tours. Ylona has also participated in numerous singing competitions and won two notable competitions such as the Urban Star Sydney Championship in December 2014, for which she received the "Most Promising Talent" award in the same month; and Fast Track Australian Singing Competition as part of the junior division in March 2015. On 21 January 2016, Coca-Cola announced Ylona as one of the ambassadors for their "Taste the Feeling" campaign together with Bailey May, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Maine Mendoza, Alden Richards, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Janella Salvador, and Enchong Dee. In January 2016, Ylona was announced as the "Celebrity VJ" for the month of February for the myx music television network. In 2018, Garcia became a member of the teen pop group ASAP G!. Other members of the group are Isabela Vinzon, Jayda Avanzado, Kyle Echarri, Jeremy Glinoga and Darren Espanto. The group formed in June 2018 and disbanded on November 2018, when the show was reformatted into ASAP Natin 'To. In 2019, Garcia transferred from Star Music to Homeworkz for her recording label.

Ylo is currently releasing new music under 88 Rising's Philippine imprint, Paradise Rising.

Jessica Sanchez created a special song called and music video for APAHM Month and to raise awareness of stopping Asian hate. “Us” is out now on all platforms. The music video features Mark Cuban, Liane V., Apl.de.ap (Black Eyed Peas), Patrick Starrr, Ylona Garcia & AJ Rafael.

On May 8, 2021, she released a single titled "Us" as a response to the xenophobia and racism related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its music video premiered on the same day and featured guest appearances from Apl.de.ap and Mark Cuban.[83]
