Zack Tabudlo has been teasing a new sound and now we have a full project of new vibes. Last year’s most streamed artist in the Philippines has just released his second album: “For All.” The sophomore effort, which features the previously released single “Akin Ka,” is a groovy soundscape inspired by many of the hitmaker’s favorite artists.

Zack shared his thoughts on “For All” in a lengthy IG caption: Here we go. 2nd album is finally here. A sound you have not heard from me before. Poured with all my heart and soul to make these tracks. Big inspirations and influences from artists i listened to growing up, and the musicians people around me listened to as well. Writing, producing, mix and mastering this album has been one hell of an experience. Down to every beat and rhythm and feel of each track has been made with full love and creativity towards a style i never thought i’d make my own. Influences from James Brown, to Bruno Mars. Anderson Paak, to the late April Boy Regino. VST & Company, to Motown. From Harry Styles to the legend himself Michael Jackson, and a lot more. The feel of 70s soul, RnB, funk, and a bit of Pop. The fashion statements, the references, vibes, and the style of music, all shrunk down into one album. I have never done anything like this before, and i hope you listen to this album from top to bottom in a room or an environment where you can dance, cry, laugh, groove, and completely lose it with complete freedom and no judgement. this is from me, to you.

Zack Tabudlo finished off 2022 as Spotify’s Top Streaming Domestic Artist in the Philippines. The singer/songwriter, who we can only assume is looking to experience similar success in 2023, just dropped his first song of the year!  “AKIN KA” shows a more fun and experimental side from the hitmaker, who credits classic funk and RnB classics as his inspiration. For example, he listed James Brown as one of his influencers for the new track. While the single may show a more experimental side from the artist, the track still has elements of his original sound.

The music video takes you back to the 70s in this fun performance that includes flared pants, furry coats, and synchronized dances. He brings up the idea of a Filipino Soul Train-inspired variety show. He’s for sure has another hit on his hands that makes you want to dance along.

He added, “The certain elements within—like the horns section, keys, drums, ambient noise, and backup vocals—helped build the entire song. It’s also a new experience for me, as the song mimics the 70s era and how soul music was made and written during those times.”

Zack Tabudlo love songs just hit different and the singer’s newest release stays true to the singer/songwriter’s reputation. Zack’s new song “Pinadama” is on the official soundtrack for Star Cinema’s recently released rom-com film: “An Inconvenient Love.” “An Inconvenient Love” is the latest project starring DonBelle: Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

In other Zack Tabudlo news, the Filipino artist is set to represent his home country next weekend at 88rising’s HITC Manila. Filipino hitmaker Zack Tabudlo’s new single is more painful than his previous releases. “Pero” is a shift thematically for the world renowned songwriter. “I typically do songs about bitterness, more [about] the others and the relationship,” he says, “[but] this time it’s more of letting go of a relationship [towards] self-love.”

Zack wrote this track during a self-imposed social media hiatus and admits that the creative process behind it was very challenging for him as an artist. Using meaningful past relationships as inspiration, the “Yakap” singer’s lyrics narrate a story of a broken relationship that ends after he makes the choice to look after himself. Stream “Pero” below!
