FilAm Arts is set to have its inaugural in-person event on Saturday, September 25th, in Historic Filipintown in Los Angeles. The event is a daylong Filipino arts and culture festival presented through film, musical theater, and burlesque. There will be a community screening of "A love letter to hi-fi" alongside musical highlights from "On this Side of the World" and a Burlesque Loveletter to Hi-Fi later in the evening.
Doors open at 4:30 pm, with the event kicking off at 5 pm. You can register for free over at the FilAm Arts website. They kindly ask for proof of vaccination card or a 72-hour negative Covid test for entry with a No Mask, no-entry rule. So mask up and enjoy a beautiful day of experiencing Historic Filipinotown through Filipino American Arts & Culture.
