For years, ABS-CBN’s Bida Star has launched household names in the Philippines showbiz industry. For the first time ever, the successful tv show is launching a version of the franchise that specifically targets finding up and coming musicians and singers.

“Bida Star Singer,” hosted by celebrities Karina Bautista, Aljon Mendoza, and Anji Salvacion, will be the first edition of the Bida Star franchise that will exclusively feature singing challenges. These exciting challenges include “The Cover,” a live singing showdown in front of their judges, “Online Gig,” a challenge where contestants take over Star Hunt’s Kumu account, and a “Bida Star Bagsakan.”

The contestants will have the opportunity to learn and get constructive criticism from an A-list set of judges which includes: ABS-CBN singing coach Anna Graham, head of “It’s Showtime” Polaris Reily Santiago and a weekly celebrity guest judge from Polaris.  The “Bida Star” winner will win an ABS-CBN management and recording contract, a special trophy, and a cash prize of P50,000.

Filipino singers aged 18 years old and above can audition to become the next Bida Star Singer until March 18 (Friday.) If you are interested in participating you can click here to fill out the application and to find out more information.

ALAMAT’s latest comeback music video for ABKD is almost at 300k views on YouTube and has kept the content rolling in from the 8-member P-Pop group. Their YouTube account has been highly active, with some great behind-the-scenes vlogs of the making of ABKD and the rehearsals behind the video. Check out their dance rehearsals with the Aeta dancers featured in their video.

A few days after that vlog was released, fans got another video of the group’s dance practice for ABKD. The video showcases the full choreography with unobstructed views for fans to appreciate the additional artistry behind the song.

And lastly, hot off the editing bay is their full performance of their latest track accompanied by a school theme that reflects the lyric video for the song. So does this mean another version is yet to come? I guess we will have to wait and see.
