Jeremiah Abraham is a game changer in shining light to AAPI voices in media. As an award winning Marketing and Public Relations Executive who has worked in the entertainment industry for over 15 years and the founder and CEO of Tremendous Communications, he's established himself and the company be a force in bringing the AAPI community to the forefront in entertainment with their campaigns. Lets get to know this Manila-born and bi-coastal multifaceted creator with these 5 interesting facts.

1. His mission is to impact the visibility of AAPIs in Hollywood.
With a long list of accolades, Jeremiah has produced AAPI films, television shows, and gives back to the AAPI community through non-profit organizations. Some of the notable projects he's worked on includes franchises like: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros’ Crazy Rich Asians.

2. Jeremiah's first AAPI project evolved in BakitWhy.com
Born in Manila and moved to Los Angeles at 5-years old, but now residing in Brooklyn, New York with his of over 10 years, it seemed that sharing his story as a Filipino living in America is how he got his start. Jeremiah pursued a degree in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine and a Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California where his thesis project turned into BakitWhy.com. This became the first digital media platform for Fil-Ams and the Filipino American lifestyle.

3. He continues to uplift Filipino stories through breakthrough films and series.
To break through the barrier and create space for more representation, Jeremiah has co-produced AAPI films like Sony Pictures’ Yellow Rose and Lingua Franca which was distributed by Ava DuVernay’s Array Now. Watch out for an upcoming ABS-CBN drama series Concepción, which follows an Asian-American kingpin and his family who hold power in LA's Historic Filipinotown (HiFi).

4. Jeremiah along with Tremendous Communication looks to help the AAPI Community through philanthropic work.
He serves as a Board Member to two organizations, FilAm Arts, which brings together the FilAm community through arts, culture, partnerships, and collaborations and Peace Studios, which provides opportunities and strengths-based tools to restore hope, challenge injustice, and bridge divides.

Through Tremendous Communications, they've helped advocate for the Asian American community during increased violence and xenophobia amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic by launching the Unapologetically Asian campaign, supported Racism Is A Virus, and contributed to the visibility of various initiatives and community advocates.

With the aim to present audiences with more diverse storytelling in film, TV, and media, a new drama series looks to tell a story within the Historic Filipinotown (HiFi) in Los Angeles. Concepción is currently in the works and it is created by Craig Obligación Wilson in collaboration with Reggie Lee (All Rise), Jeremiah Abraham (Yellow Rose), and ABS-CBN. The series follows an Asian-American kingpin and his family who hold power in LA's HiFi area.

Kingpin, Paulo "Pepe" Concepción aka "Lolo Pepe" has a criminal empire through various crime related businesses. Name one type of crime and he's got a business related to it. His story along with the family's is set between the eras of 1992 and 2020 and spans across 28 years. Lolo Pepe looks to expand his family's power over HiFi and continue his reign in the area.

According to Deadline, "Concepción seeks to examine the world of an Asian-American crime patriarch, a world of drugs and money, but also heritage and pride, viewed through origins, history, choices and consequences." The collaboration with ABS-CBN brings value to the project as they'll help contribute to adding authenticity to the storytelling. As we look to bring Filipino stories to life and expand to a global audience, the project is a first of its kind.

LINGUA Franca

According to the Asian Journal, the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards nominates LINGUA Franca for the John Cassavetes Award. These prestigious awards are given to independent filmmakers.

Isabel Sandoval starred, directed and wrote the film which explores the Filipino immigrant story. The story follows an "undocumented trans Filipina caretaker living in New York City who struggles financially to support her mom back home. She also pays for an American man to marry her for a green card".

The film made history as the first film directed and starred by an openly trans woman of color when it premiered at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival. You can find it currently on Netflix and catch the 36th annual Spirit Awards air live on April 22 at 10:00 pm ET/7:00 p.m. PT exclusively on IFC and AMC+.

Yellow Rose

Gold House, a premier nonprofit collective recognizes Yellow Rose in its 2021 Gold List. Yellow Rose earns two honorable mentions under the Best Picture and Best Actress categories. The lead actress, Eva Noblezada was among other talented actress considered for Best Actress but ultimately went to Yeri Han (Minari) and Leah Lewis (The Half Of It).

The Gold List honors the most outstanding Asian and Pacific Islander (API) achievements in the film industry. The collective dedicated to enabling more authentic multicultural representation and societal equity.

Variety also mentions the song, Square Peg from the film as a contender for the Oscars Best Original Song. Although it's part of the unranked contenders, it is being talked about in the same ranks as other mainstream songs in film.

The film follows a Filipina teen who must decide whether to stay with her family or leave her small Texas town to become a country music singer.
