After logging some DNPs to start his NBA Summer League career, Kai Sotto finally earned some playing time and logged some impressive stats in the short stint. The Filipino big man, who has been receiving chants from fans in arenas and support throughout social media, finally made his debut. In just 13 minutes of playing time, the center posted six points, four rebounds, three blocks and 1 assist.
Kai Sotto touched base with the media with a post-game interview and detailed his experience. “I feel like it was a good first game. Just to go out there and compete. It’s not good that we didn’t win, but we learned a lot from this game,” said Sotto. “I think we were pretty good defensively. We just got to work on getting better looks. We just have to bounce back.”
