Filipino-American rapper/producer P-Lo’s signature sound is synonymous to Bay Area and West Coast hip hop. The California native is proud of his hyphy roots and the city has embraced him as one of their biggest cultural ambassadors this generation. Recently, the hitmaker received his flowers from famed music publication Rolling Stone, who included his smash single ‘Put Me On Somethin’ ‘ in their “The 100 Greatest West Coast Hip-Hop Songs of All Time” list at #83.
P-Lo took to his Instagram to share his heartfelt views on the moment. He captioned: “ Honored to be mentioned in Top 100 West Coast Songs of All-Time! “Put Me On Somethin” Feat @e40 was ranked #83 on @rollingstone. I wrote and recorded this at my parents house in Pinole, Ca. I also produced it 🙏🏼 thankful to everyone who was apart of it @iamsu @migui_maloles @infinitestudios”
