Filipino hitmaker Zack Tabudlo’s new single is more painful than his previous releases. “Pero” is a shift thematically for the world renowned songwriter. “I typically do songs about bitterness, more [about] the others and the relationship,” he says, “[but] this time it’s more of letting go of a relationship [towards] self-love.”
Zack wrote this track during a self-imposed social media hiatus and admits that the creative process behind it was very challenging for him as an artist. Using meaningful past relationships as inspiration, the “Yakap” singer’s lyrics narrate a story of a broken relationship that ends after he makes the choice to look after himself. Stream “Pero” below!
